Flu and Covid-19 vaccines now available at Monaco pharmacies

By Zak Jackson, MonacoViews Editorial

Pharmacies across Monaco are now offering both flu and Covid-19 vaccinations, with the Prince's Government urging vulnerable residents to get protected.

Pharmacies throughout the Principality have been administering flu vaccines since 15 October, and Covid-19 jabs are now also available alongside them. The Prince's Government is encouraging residents, particularly older people and those with underlying health conditions, to come forward for both vaccinations ahead of the winter months.

For eligible insured residents, the cost of both vaccines is covered, removing a potential barrier for those who might otherwise delay protection. Pharmacists across Monaco, from Fontvieille to Monte-Carlo, are able to administer the jabs directly, meaning residents do not need to book a separate appointment with a doctor in most cases.

With flu and Covid-19 cases typically rising through the autumn and into the Monaco Grand Prix off-season lull, health officials are keen to see uptake early rather than waiting until symptoms are circulating more widely. Anyone unsure of their eligibility for free vaccination is advised to speak directly with their pharmacist.
