A one-off timepiece from independent watchmaker François-Paul Journe has been unveiled in Monaco ahead of a Singapore auction, with proceeds directed to the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation.
The fourth collaboration between François-Paul Journe and the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation has produced a single, unrepeatable timepiece that organisers believe could fetch up to €10 million at auction. The watch was presented in the Principality before heading to Singapore later in 2026, where it will go under the hammer as part of the Foundation's ongoing fundraising programme.
Journe, who moved his manufacture to Geneva after establishing his reputation in Paris, has a long-standing relationship with Monaco's environmental foundation. Each previous collaboration has generated significant sums, and the €10 million estimate would represent a new high-water mark for the partnership. The Foundation directs funds towards ocean conservation, biodiversity and climate initiatives, causes that sit at the heart of Prince Albert II's public work.
For Monaco residents and the wider watch community, the unveiling underlines the Principality's growing role as a stage for high-value philanthropic moments that extend well beyond the usual charity gala format. Whether the Singapore result matches the ambition remains to be seen, but the Foundation will be watching the auction room closely.
