Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene are hosting the 19th Conference of the Council of Europe's Ministers responsible for Sport, a significant gathering that places Monaco at the centre of continent-wide discussions on child welfare and protection in sporting environments.
The event, held at the Grimaldi Forum, brings together senior government officials and sports representatives from across Europe to advance safeguarding measures and create safer sporting spaces for young people. Preparatory discussions began on Tuesday, 3 November, with the Saint-Denis Committee and Consultative Committee convening ahead of the main ministerial sessions.
The conference underscores the Principality's role as a venue for high-level European policy discussions, following other significant ministerial summits hosted here in recent years. By facilitating these important conversations on child protection in sport, Monaco continues to demonstrate its commitment to supporting Europe-wide initiatives that prioritise the wellbeing of young athletes.
