The Agence monégasque de sécurité numérique recorded two million cyberattacks on the Principality's state services during 2025.

The 26th edition of the Assises de la cybersécurité de Monaco has just closed its doors after drawing more than 3,500 visitors, confirming the event's standing as a key fixture on the Principality's calendar. The gathering brought together specialists and officials at a time when digital threats are multiplying across every sector, from government bodies to private firms operating in Monaco.

Speaking on the sidelines of the event, Bruno Valentin, director of the Agence monégasque de sécurité numérique, revealed that his teams detected two million cyberattacks against Monaco's state services alone in 2025. The figure underlines the scale of the challenge facing the Principality's institutions, which hold sensitive data on residents, businesses and property transactions.

For residents and companies based in Monaco, the message from the AMSN is clear: basic digital hygiene, from strong passwords to regular software updates, remains the first line of defence against increasingly sophisticated intrusion attempts. With the Principality's economy built heavily on trust, particularly in banking, property and luxury services, the agency's work in fending off these attacks has direct consequences for everyday life in Monaco.
