Caio Henrique leaves AS Monaco for Ajax Amsterdam

By Zak Jackson, MonacoViews Editorial

The Brazilian left-back, a fixture at the club since 2020, has completed a move to Ajax Amsterdam on a five-year deal.

AS Monaco have confirmed the departure of Caio Henrique, with the 28-year-old Brazilian international signing for Ajax Amsterdam on a five-season contract. The move brings to an end a six-year stint at Stade Louis II that saw the left-back become one of the more consistent performers in the Monegasque backline.

Henrique arrived at Monaco in 2020 and went on to earn his first senior Brazil caps during his time on the Rock, establishing himself as one of Ligue 1's more reliable defenders in his position. His exit leaves Adi Hütter's squad with a gap to fill at left-back ahead of the new season, with the club likely to move quickly in the transfer market to cover the loss.
