Ansu Fati set for permanent AS Monaco switch

By Laurent Duval, MonacoViews Editorial

AS Monaco and FC Barcelona are close to finalising a permanent deal for Spanish forward Ansu Fati, who joined the club on loan last summer.

After a season on loan from FC Barcelona, Ansu Fati looks set to make his move to AS Monaco permanent. The clubs are reported to be close to reaching a final agreement, with a transfer expected to be confirmed within days.

The Spanish forward has been part of Adi Hütter's squad since the summer, and the Monégasque hierarchy have clearly seen enough to commit to a full acquisition. For a club that has been rebuilding its attacking options, securing Fati on a permanent basis would represent a meaningful statement of intent heading into next season.
