Maghnes Akliouche has signed a five-year contract with Paris Saint-Germain, with AS Monaco receiving €50 million from the transfer.

Maghnes Akliouche, one of the most promising players to emerge from AS Monaco in recent seasons, has completed a move to Paris Saint-Germain, with the deal confirmed on Thursday 6 August. The 24-year-old French international put pen to paper on a five-year contract with the Parisian club.

AS Monaco will receive €50 million for the midfielder, a fee that reflects both his development at the club and his standing in the French national team setup. Akliouche came through the ranks at Monaco and had become a fixture in the first team, making his departure one of the more significant transfers the club has concluded in the current window.

The sale represents a substantial financial return for Monaco, whose model of developing and selling talent has long underpinned the club's ability to compete at the top of Ligue 1 and in European competition.
