ACM's Michel Boéri, 87, to seek new term as president

By Zak Jackson, MonacoViews Editorial

Michel Boéri, who has led the Automobile Club de Monaco for 54 years, has confirmed he will stand for re-election as president later this month.

Michel Boéri has ended months of speculation by confirming he will seek another term as president of the Automobile Club de Monaco, the body responsible for organising the Monaco Grand Prix and the Rallye Monte-Carlo. At 87, and after 54 years at the helm, Boéri told Monaco-Matin the club has rarely found itself in such a favourable position, a remark that signals confidence rather than farewell.

The election is due to take place at the end of October, when ACM members will decide whether to extend his tenure further. Boéri has overseen the club through decades of change in motorsport, steering both its flagship events and its broader role in Monaco's sporting calendar.

For residents and motorsport followers in the Principality, continuity at the top of the ACM matters beyond ceremony. The club's decisions shape everything from street closures during Grand Prix week to the logistics of the Rallye Monte-Carlo each January, making its leadership a matter of practical interest well beyond racing circles.
