More than 60 residents gathered at the Médiathèque Caroline on Saturday to collect litter across the Principality as part of World Cleanup Day 2026.
Starting from the Médiathèque Caroline on Saturday 19 September, more than 60 volunteers took to the streets of the Principality for World Cleanup Day 2026, the annual global initiative dedicated to removing waste from public spaces. The litter-picking walk was led by Marjorie Crovetto, Deputy Mayor responsible for Living Environment, the Environment and Sustainable Development.
The turnout reflects a consistent civic engagement in Monaco around environmental upkeep, with the Mairie de Monaco coordinating the local effort as part of the worldwide movement held each September. For residents, the event serves as a visible reminder of the Principality's ongoing commitments to cleanliness and sustainability at street level.
