Ivorian midfield great Yaya Touré will perform the ceremonial kick-off at Stade Louis-II on Sunday evening, when AS Monaco host Lille at 21h.
Stade Louis-II will have an extra reason to generate atmosphere on Sunday evening, with Yaya Touré returning to the ground where he played during the 2006-07 season. The Ivorian legend will perform the ceremonial kick-off ahead of AS Monaco's Ligue 1 fixture against Lille, with kick-off scheduled for 21h.
Touré's single season in the Principality may have been brief, but it precedes a career that took him to the very top of European football, making his appearance a genuine draw for supporters of a certain generation. Beyond the kick-off duties, he will also be available for a signing session, giving fans the chance to meet him in person at the stadium.
