Women in Formula E speak out ahead of Monaco E-Prix

By Laurent Duval, MonacoViews Editorial

Four motorsport professionals shared their experiences of working in Formula E at a Monaco Women Network panel held on Wednesday evening.

A panel of four women working at the heart of Formula E gathered on Wednesday evening for a round-table discussion organised by the Monaco Women Network, ahead of this month's E-Prix in the Principality. Engineers, team staff and other specialists in the discipline took the floor to discuss what it means to build a career in a sport still dominated by men.

The tone was candid rather than campaigning. Participants noted that Formula E, as a younger and more internationally minded series than traditional motorsport, has developed a reputation for valuing technical expertise above background or gender. For residents and professionals connected to Monaco's growing role as a hub for both Formula E and Formula 1, the conversation reflected a broader shift in how the paddock presents itself to the next generation.

The Monaco E-Prix forms part of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship calendar and draws teams, sponsors and infrastructure into the Principality each season, making events like this panel directly relevant to the local professional community.
