The 8th International New Roses Competition at the Princesse Grace Rose Garden is open for public voting across 70 varieties from eight countries.
The Princesse Grace Rose Garden is once again at the centre of one of Monaco's most distinctive horticultural traditions, as the 8th International New Roses Competition opens its public vote. Held every two years, the competition is organised jointly by the Association des Amis de la Roseraie Princesse Grace, chaired by Yves Piaget, and the Principality's Direction de l'Aménagement Urbain.
This edition drew entries from sixteen growers representing eight countries, with 70 previously unseen rose varieties submitted across four categories: Hybrid Tea, Floribunda, Ground Cover, and Miniature. The global reach of the competition reflects the garden's standing as a serious venue for rose breeders seeking recognition in a meaningful international forum.
Residents and visitors can now cast their vote for a favourite variety, giving the public a direct say alongside the official jury. For those who walk through the rose garden regularly, it is a chance to put a name to the blooms that will potentially carry on in cultivation long after the competition concludes.
