Monaco strengthens diplomatic ties with Senegal through new cooperation framework
A Monégasque delegation has signed a bilateral cooperation agreement with Senegal, cementing over two decades of partnership between the nations.
Government Minister for External Relations and Cooperation has completed a working visit to Senegal, marking a significant step forward in diplomatic relations between the two countries.
The delegation held productive discussions with Senegalese officials, including an audience with Amadou Chérif Diouf, Secretary of State for Senegalese Abroad. These talks culminated in the signing of a bilateral cooperation framework agreement, representing the diplomatic highlight of the mission.
The new accord formally recognises more than twenty years of collaborative exchanges between Senegal and Monaco. This formalisation comes at a time when international development aid faces considerable reductions globally, making such partnerships increasingly valuable for both nations.
The agreement is expected to provide a structured foundation for future cooperation initiatives, building on the established relationship whilst opening new avenues for diplomatic and cultural exchange.
