Former Monaco Palace Guards Launch Fellowship to Maintain Unit Bonds
A new association for retired Carabiniers du Prince has been established, bringing together 47 former members of Monaco's elite security force.
The principality's former Palace Guards have created a fellowship organisation to preserve the strong bonds forged during their service with Monaco's most prestigious security unit. The new association was established this year following an initiative by Colonel Martial Pied, the current head of the Carabiniers du Prince.
Jean-François Konieczny, who dedicated three decades to serving in the elite corps, has taken charge of leading this fresh organisation. The fellowship now brings together 47 former members of the distinguished unit, which serves as the Prince's personal guard and maintains security at the Palace and other key locations throughout Monaco.
The Carabiniers du Prince, easily recognisable by their distinctive uniforms, represent one of Monaco's most visible symbols of sovereignty and tradition. The creation of this alumni network reflects the deep camaraderie that develops among those who serve in this select force, ensuring these professional relationships continue well beyond active duty.
