Vadim Ermolaev, a Ukrainian property developer and industrialist with business interests across Eastern Europe, has been identified as one of three people seriously injured in Monday night's explosion in the Principality. Ermolaev, originally from Dnipro, sustained burns and shrapnel injuries when an explosive device detonated outside the entrance to a building in Monaco. Two other individuals were also seriously hurt in the blast.
Ermolaev is known in Ukrainian business circles as a significant figure in property development and industrial holdings, and had been resident in Monaco prior to the attack. The bombing has drawn immediate attention from law enforcement and security services, with investigators working to establish the circumstances and origin of the device.
