Ukrainian authorities have ordered the continued detention of two men suspected of murdering Anastasiia Berezovska, the woman believed to have placed an explosive device outside the Monaco home of businessman Vadim Ermolaev on 29 June. The ruling keeps both suspects in custody as the investigation across multiple jurisdictions continues.
Berezovska was herself a suspect in the bombing before she was killed, placing the case at the intersection of a Monegasque criminal inquiry and a separate Ukrainian murder investigation. The attack on Ermolaev's residence marked one of the most serious security incidents seen in the Principality in recent years.
Monaco's judicial authorities have been working alongside Ukrainian counterparts since the June bombing. The extension of detention in Kyiv suggests that cross-border cooperation is producing results, though no charges have yet been confirmed in connection with the original attack on Ermolaev.
