TV Monaco's general secretary has outlined new programming since September, as uncertainty over the channel's long-term future was raised in the National Council on 13 October.
TV Monaco has passed its third anniversary, with general secretary Angélique Tessier using the milestone to detail a run of new programming introduced since the September relaunch of the schedule. The channel, which began broadcasting in 2023, has become a fixture for residents following Principality affairs, from council sessions to local sport and cultural coverage.
But the anniversary comes with an unresolved question hanging over the station. On 13 October, Monaco's Minister of State addressed the channel's future directly during a public session of the National Council, a sign that funding or structural questions are now firmly on the government's agenda rather than confined to internal discussion.
For residents who rely on TV Monaco for coverage not found elsewhere, including municipal decisions and Principality institutions, the uncertainty matters. Tessier's comments suggest the team is pressing ahead with new content regardless, but the channel's medium-term position will depend on decisions still to come from the government.
