Train disruption hits Monaco this weekend with shuttle fix

By Zak Jackson, MonacoViews Editorial

SNCF Réseau works on Saturday 13 June will cut rail services between Nice and Monaco, with a direct shuttle laid on from Les Salines car park to Monaco-Ville.

SNCF Réseau engineering works on Saturday 13 June will suspend rail services between Nice and Monaco for the day, with reduced services also running between Monaco and Ventimiglia. Anyone planning to arrive by train this weekend should check timetables before travelling and allow extra time.

Drivers heading to Monaco-Ville are being directed to the Les Salines car park, where a dedicated shuttle service will run directly up to the Rock. The connection has been put in place specifically to support the 7th Rencontre des sites historiques Grimaldi de Monaco, taking place across the 13th and 14th June, and to keep access manageable for the weekend as a whole.

Residents and visitors using the rail corridor regularly should note that the Monaco-Ventimiglia service is also reduced on Saturday, not just suspended on the Nice side. Normal service is expected to resume from Sunday 14 June, though anyone with onward connections should verify with SNCF before setting out.
