SNCF Strike on Wednesday Disrupts Train Links to Monaco

The Monaco government is urging cross-border commuters to work from home on Wednesday 10 June as a national SNCF strike severely disrupts rail services across the Alpes-Maritimes and Var.
A national strike at SNCF on Wednesday 10 June 2026 will cause severe disruption to train services along the Côte d'Azur, with Monaco among the areas most heavily affected. The Principality's government has issued a direct alert to residents and cross-border workers, advising those who can to work remotely and avoid rail travel for the day.
The strike affects lines running through the Alpes-Maritimes and Var departments, which means the Monaco-Monte-Carlo and Monaco-Fontvieille stations will see sharply reduced or cancelled services. Workers commuting daily from Menton, Nice, Antibes and beyond should plan alternative arrangements well in advance of Wednesday morning.
Those who must travel are advised to check real-time service updates through the SNCF Connect app or website before leaving home. Bus and road links will likely face increased pressure as a result of the rail disruption, so additional journey time should be factored in for any cross-border trip.
