Shore fishing declarations move online via MonGuichet.mc

By Zak Jackson, MonacoViews Editorial

Residents who fish recreationally from Monaco's shoreline can now submit their mandatory declaration through MonGuichet.mc rather than visiting a government office in person.

From June 2026, recreational shore fishers in Monaco no longer need to queue at a government counter to fulfil their legal obligations. The declaration process, made mandatory in 2025, has moved entirely online through MonGuichet.mc, the Principality's centralised digital public-services portal.

The requirement to declare shore fishing activity was introduced as part of a broader effort to understand who is using Monaco's coastal waters for recreational purposes and to support the development of the activity within the Principality. Moving the process online brings it in line with other administrative services already available through MonGuichet.mc.

For residents who fish from the rocks at Fontvieille, the jetties around Port Hercule or anywhere along Monaco's coastline, the change removes a practical barrier. The declaration can now be completed at any time without taking time off to visit an office in person.
