A scooter rider and a pedestrian were both injured in a morning collision on 14 July 2026, briefly closing the eastbound fast road towards Menton.
Shortly after 7:30 on Tuesday morning, a young scooter rider struck a woman in her sixties on the Route de la Corniche Inférieure near Monaco, leaving both requiring hospital treatment. Emergency services transported them to the Centre Hospitalier Princesse Grace (CHPG) following the impact.
The eastbound carriageway towards Menton was closed temporarily while emergency crews dealt with the scene, causing disruption to morning traffic on one of the Principality's busiest arterial routes. The road has since reopened. The circumstances of the collision are under investigation.
