SBM reports revenue six to seven times higher during Monaco GP

Société des Bains de Mer chairman Stéphane Valeri says the 83rd Monaco Formula 1 Grand Prix delivered results well above expectations for the group's Monte-Carlo venues.

The 83rd Formula 1 Grand Prix de Monaco proved a standout commercial moment for Société des Bains de Mer, with chairman-delegate Stéphane Valeri confirming that revenue across the group's establishments ran at six to seven times normal trading levels during race week. Valeri described the vintage as "excellent", adding that results came in above forecasts set ahead of the event.

While SBM stopped short of publishing absolute figures, the multiplier speaks clearly enough for residents and property owners who watch the Principality's economic pulse. The group's Monte-Carlo portfolio, anchored by the Casino de Monte-Carlo, the Hôtel de Paris and the Café de Paris on the Place du Casino, sits at the heart of the circuit and captures the densest concentration of Grand Prix spending in the Principality.

The disclosure reinforces what the GP weekend represents beyond motorsport: a concentrated economic event that lifts hotel occupancy, restaurant covers and gaming revenue simultaneously across the Carré d'Or. For SBM, whose performance is closely tracked as a proxy for Monaco's broader hospitality economy, exceeding projections in a year when the race calendar and visitor numbers were already closely watched carries particular weight.
