Société des Bains de Mer de Monte-Carlo has closed its 2025/26 financial year with revenue of €861.6 million, a result described internally as exceptional. The gaming division, long the bedrock of SBM's identity, accounts for roughly €258 million of that figure — around 30 per cent of total turnover — marking a meaningful recovery after a period of suppressed activity.
The rebound follows a difficult stretch in which stricter anti-money-laundering rules introduced in recent years weighed heavily on casino volumes. The compliance overhaul had deterred some high-stakes players and added friction to the gaming floor operations at the Casino de Monte-Carlo and its sister properties. Those headwinds now appear to have been absorbed, with the business adapting its procedures without sacrificing footfall or spend.
For Monaco's wider economy, the SBM result carries real weight. The company employs several thousand people in the Principality and its hotels, restaurants, casinos and beach clubs underpin a substantial share of local commercial activity. A turnover approaching €862 million reinforces the Principality's position as a destination where luxury hospitality and gaming continue to draw significant international spending.
