Sané settling fast at the back as Dier partnership clicks

Senegalese defender Sadibou Sané has made a strong early impression at AS Monaco, earning the trust of centre-back partner Eric Dier since his summer arrival.
Sadibou Sané's first months at AS Monaco have gone some way to justifying the club's decision to bring the Senegalese centre-back to the Principality this summer. Paired with England international Eric Dier at the heart of the Monaco defence, Sané has looked composed and reliable - a combination that can take time to build between two new partners.
What makes the early chemistry notable is that Dier's appreciation for Sané reportedly predates the signing itself. The former Tottenham Hotspur man had already formed a positive view of the defender before the two became team-mates at the Stade Louis II, giving the partnership a head start that has shown on the pitch.
For Monaco supporters, a settled centre-back pairing is one of the more pressing requirements heading into the season. With Sané embedding quickly and Dier providing experience at the highest level, the defensive foundations at Boulevard Louis II are looking more secure than they did a few months ago.
