Prince Albert II and Princess Charlène marked the debut of Monaco Sevens at Stade Prince Héréditaire Jacques.
The Principality welcomed its first Monaco Sevens rugby tournament with Prince Albert II and Princess Charlène joining spectators at the Stade Prince Héréditaire Jacques in Beausoleil on Friday.
The inaugural competition, jointly organised by the Monegasque Rugby Federation and AS Monaco Rugby, featured both men's and women's teams competing in the fast-paced seven-a-side format. Princess Charlène's foundation provided backing for the event, reflecting her ongoing commitment to promoting sport in the region.
The tournament represents a significant milestone for rugby development in Monaco, bringing international-standard sevens competition to the Principality for the first time. The choice of venue in neighbouring Beausoleil allowed for a larger capacity whilst maintaining close ties to Monaco's sporting community.
