Roca Team given until 10 July as court seeks investor clarity

By Zak Jackson, MonacoViews Editorial

Monaco's Court of First Instance has postponed its hearing on AS Monaco Basketball's financial position to Friday 10 July, requesting further detail on investor discussions.

The Roca Team's immediate future will remain uncertain for another three weeks after proceedings at the Court of First Instance were adjourned to Friday 10 July. The court was examining the club's financial position and its capacity to fund continuing operations, but requested additional information before reaching any conclusions.

Central to that request is clarification on discussions the club is understood to be holding with potential investors. The adjournment gives those talks more time to produce a concrete outcome, though no detail on the parties involved has been made public.

For supporters and the wider Monaco sporting community, the delay prolongs a period of real uncertainty around one of the Principality's two professional sports clubs. The Roca Team competes in the Betclic Elite, France's top basketball division, and any disruption to its financial standing would have direct consequences for its ability to operate at that level next season.
