Roca Team files CNOSF appeal in bid to stay in French basketball

By Zak Jackson, MonacoViews Editorial

AS Monaco Basket has formally launched conciliation proceedings before the French National Olympic Committee, keeping alive the club's fight to compete in the French league.

AS Monaco Basket, the reigning French champions, have officially filed a conciliation request before the Comité National Olympique et Sportif Français, confirming the club is pursuing every available avenue to resolve its eligibility dispute with French basketball authorities.

The CNOSF process is a mandatory mediation step before any full legal challenge can proceed in France, and the fact that the club has engaged it formally signals the matter is being handled with serious intent. For Roca Team supporters and Monaco's sporting community, it represents the clearest sign yet that the battle to keep top-tier French basketball on the Rock is far from over.

The timing matters. With pre-season preparation underway across the Pro B and Betclic Elite divisions, a resolution through the CNOSF could still allow Monaco to take their place in the 2026-27 competition calendar. The club has not commented publicly on the expected timeline, but the filing itself is a meaningful step forward.
