Roca Team court hearing delayed to 10 July amid budget crisis

A Monaco court has postponed its ruling on AS Monaco Basket's debts and financial viability until 10 July, as the club works on a reduced budget for next season.
The Principality's tribunal de première instance has again deferred its assessment of AS Monaco Basket's financial position, pushing the next hearing back to 10 July. The court is examining the club's outstanding debts and whether it can demonstrate long-term viability as a going concern.
The Roca Team is understood to be preparing a scaled-down budget proposal for the 2026-27 season as part of efforts to satisfy the court. This is not the first postponement, suggesting negotiations with creditors or with potential backers are still ongoing behind the scenes.
For residents and followers of Monaco basketball, the situation leaves genuine uncertainty over the club's future in top-level competition. A further adjournment on 10 July remains possible if the financial picture has not sufficiently clarified by then.
