Rail disruption hits Monaco-Côte d'Azur routes this weekend

By Zak Jackson, MonacoViews Editorial

SNCF Réseau maintenance work on 19 and 20 September will disrupt train services between Monaco, Nice, Cannes and Marseille.

Travellers using the train to move between Monaco and the wider Côte d'Azur this weekend should expect significant disruption, with SNCF Réseau carrying out three large-scale maintenance and modernisation operations simultaneously across the region on Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 September.

Services affected include routes through Nice, the Cannes-Grasse line, and connections towards Marseille. Residents commuting or travelling for leisure are advised to check SNCF schedules in advance and allow extra time, as replacement bus services typically add considerable journey time on these corridors.

The works form part of ongoing infrastructure investment across the French rail network. Anyone travelling to or from Monaco-Monte-Carlo station this weekend is strongly encouraged to confirm their connection before departing.
