Monaco reinforced its commitment to the international White Card movement on the UN's International Day of Sport for Development and Peace.
The Principality demonstrated its ongoing dedication to sport as a force for unity on 6 April, coinciding with the United Nations' International Day of Sport for Development and Peace. The occasion saw renewed backing for the White Card initiative, spearheaded by the Monaco-based organisation Peace and Sport.
The campaign harnesses sport's unique ability to bridge divides and foster understanding across communities. By encouraging participation from individuals and organisations globally, the initiative seeks to demonstrate how athletic activities can serve as catalysts for meaningful dialogue and social cohesion.
With support from Monaco's government, the White Card movement continues to gain international momentum, reflecting the Principality's longstanding commitment to using sport as a diplomatic tool. The initiative builds on Monaco's established reputation as a hub for sports diplomacy and peaceful international cooperation through athletic endeavours.
