By Zak Jackson, MonacoViews Editorial

Princess Charlene travelled to Bagno Flora beach in Viareggio on 17 June for the latest edition of the Foundation's annual Water Safety Day.

Princess Charlene was in Viareggio on Wednesday, 17 June, representing the Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation at its latest Water Safety Day. The event took place on Bagno Flora beach and brought together young people for hands-on training in water safety, rescue techniques and basic first aid.

The Foundation has run Water Safety Day events across multiple countries since its creation, with the core aim of reducing drowning fatalities among children and teenagers. The Viareggio edition continues that work beyond Monaco's borders, extending the Foundation's reach into Italy while keeping its focus firmly on practical, potentially life-saving skills.
