Princess Charlène's Crossing 2026 athlete list confirmed

By Zak Jackson, MonacoViews Editorial

Around thirty competitors will take on the 225-kilometre waterbike challenge from Viareggio to Monaco on 19 and 20 June.

The 2026 edition of the Crossing, the open-water waterbike endurance race organised under Princess Charlène's patronage, has its full field confirmed ahead of the two-day event on 19 and 20 June. Some thirty athletes, ranging from seasoned endurance specialists to committed amateurs, will pedal 225 kilometres along the Ligurian coastline from Viareggio, on the Tuscan shore, before arriving in Monaco.

The Crossing has become one of the more distinctive events on Monaco's sporting calendar, combining physical challenge with visibility for the Princess Charlène of Monaco Foundation and its water-safety mission. Competitors will face open Mediterranean conditions across the two stages, with the finish in Monegasque waters expected to draw spectators to the harbourside.

Full athlete details and stage timings are available through the Princess Charlène of Monaco Foundation ahead of race weekend.
