Prince's Car Collection opens summer exhibition on 22 June

By Zak Jackson, MonacoViews Editorial

Sixteen vehicles tracing automotive evolution from original classics to modernised racers go on show at the Collection des Automobiles until 13 September 2026.

The Collection des Automobiles de S.A.S. le Prince de Monaco opens a new temporary exhibition, 'D'hier à aujourd'hui', on 22 June 2026, running through to 13 September. Sixteen vehicles have been selected to illustrate how the automobile has changed across generations, placing original historic models alongside their heavily modified or reimagined counterparts.

The Terrasses de Fontvieille venue, which houses one of the most significant private automotive collections in Europe, draws considerable visitor numbers over the summer months. This exhibition gives both returning visitors and first-timers a structured reason to look again at what the collection holds, framing individual cars as part of a broader story of mechanical and design evolution rather than simply as standalone exhibits.

For Monaco residents and property owners, the timing is well-chosen. The exhibition runs across the peak summer period, offering a cultural draw that sits comfortably alongside the Principality's outdoor and maritime calendar. Entry details and opening hours are available directly from the Collection des Automobiles.
