Pogba Returns to Action as Monaco Fall to Paris FC in Cup Upset

Paul Pogba made his comeback after four months out as Monaco suffered a heavy 4-1 defeat to Paris FC in cup competition.

Paul Pogba stepped back onto the pitch for the first time in four months during Monaco's disappointing 4-1 cup defeat to Paris FC on Friday evening. The World Cup winner was introduced in the 69th minute with his side already trailing 3-1.

The French midfielder's last appearance in Monaco colours came back in December during the 1-0 loss at Brest, marking an extended absence that had kept him away from competitive football. Coach Sébastien Pocognoli turned to the experienced international hoping to inject some energy into his struggling team.

Despite Pogba's return, Monaco were unable to mount a comeback against their lower-division opponents, with Paris FC completing a memorable upset victory. The result represents a significant disappointment for the Principality club in what should have been a routine cup progression.
