Tadej Pogačar will race in Monaco's sixth Beking charity event on Sunday 29 November, his first appearance since his Vuelta a España crash.
Tadej Pogačar will line up on the start grid in Monaco on Sunday 29 November for the sixth edition of Beking, marking his return to competition after a crash on the Vuelta a España on 29 August forced him out of racing. The Slovenian, widely regarded as the strongest rider of his generation, will be joined by his partner Urska Žigart, herself a professional cyclist, for the charity event.
Beking has grown into one of the Principality's notable charity sporting fixtures since its launch, drawing both professional riders and amateur cyclists onto closed roads for a cause-driven event rather than a competitive race in the traditional sense. The format allows residents and visiting fans a rare chance to see a rider of Pogačar's calibre up close, away from the pressure of a Grand Tour or World Championship.
For those living along the route or planning to attend, the date is worth marking in the diary well ahead of the Monaco winter social calendar. Organisers have not yet released the full course details, but previous editions have used closed sections of road within the Principality, meaning some disruption to traffic should be expected on the day.
