Sébastien Pocognoli has indicated he wants to continue as AS Monaco manager beyond this season, ahead of Sunday's final Ligue 1 fixture at Strasbourg.
Speaking to the press on Friday, two days before Monaco's final Ligue 1 match of the season away at Strasbourg, head coach Sébastien Pocognoli made no secret of his personal ambitions. "Of course I would like to stay," he said, though he stopped short of elaborating further on his future.
The Belgian coach, who took the reins at the Stade Louis II mid-season, will be looking to finish the campaign on a positive note when the Rouge et Blanc travel to Strasbourg on Sunday 17 May, kick-off 21:00. How that game unfolds may well shape the conversations that follow between Pocognoli and the club's hierarchy.
Monaco have not yet confirmed whether Pocognoli will be offered a permanent contract for the 2026-27 season. The coming days are expected to bring clarity on his position, as the club begins its end-of-season review.
