Pocognoli reshuffles AS Monaco XI for Strasbourg trip

By Laurent Duval, MonacoViews Editorial

Sébastien Pocognoli has made several changes to his starting line-up for Sunday evening's Ligue 1 fixture at Strasbourg's Stade de la Meinau, with Ansu Fati handed a start and Zakaria deployed in midfield.

Forced into a reshuffle by a lengthy injury list, Pocognoli has also switched formation for Monaco's visit to the Meinau on Sunday evening, kick-off 21:00. The head coach has opted to hand Ansu Fati a place in the starting XI and moved Mohamed Camara's fellow midfielder Zakaria into a more central role as the squad adapts to its depleted options.

The fixture at Strasbourg carries significant weight at this stage of the Ligue 1 season, with points hard to come by and the pressure on Monaco's coaching staff to extract results despite the absentees. Supporters tracking the side's European qualification hopes will be watching closely to see whether the tactical shift produces a positive outcome away from the Stade Louis II.
