PhiloMonaco 2026 Opens Free Week of Debate on Desire

By Zak Jackson, MonacoViews Editorial

Semaine PhiloMonaco returns from 24 to 28 June 2026, bringing philosophers, writers and researchers to the Principality for five days of free public events.

Semaine PhiloMonaco 2026 runs from Wednesday 24 to Sunday 28 June, with thinkers, writers, researchers and public figures gathering in the Principality to explore this year's central theme: desire. The programme examines the subject from multiple angles, from the desire to learn and the desire for adventure through to the desire for justice and for human connection.

All events are free and open to the public, making this one of the more accessible fixtures in Monaco's cultural calendar. The Rencontres Philosophiques de Monaco have built a reputation for drawing serious intellectual names alongside broader public audiences, and the 2026 edition continues that format across five days of talks, debates and exchanges.

Full scheduling details and venue information are available through the official PhiloMonaco channels ahead of the opening session on 24 June.
