By Laurent Duval, MonacoViews Editorial

Prince Albert and Princess Stéphanie joined the Palace Guards for their traditional patron saint ceremony at Monaco Cathedral.

The principality's Palace Guards marked their annual tribute to St. Sebastian with a ceremonial Mass at Monaco Cathedral this morning, attended by Prince Albert II and Princess Stéphanie.

As patron of the Palace Guards, Princess Stéphanie joined the sovereign for the religious service honouring their patron saint. The ceremony was led by Archbishop Bernard Barsi, supported by several senior clergy including Vicar General Guillaume Paris and Cathedral Priest Daniel Deltreuil.

Father César V. Penzo, who serves as chaplain to Monaco's military forces, also participated in the solemn proceedings. The annual celebration maintains a long-standing tradition that recognises the spiritual heritage of the principality's ceremonial guard unit.
