Over 1,000 march in Monaco against pension reform plans

More than a thousand workers marched to the Caisses Sociales de Monaco on Wednesday to protest proposed pension reforms and rising living costs.
More than 1,000 employees took to the streets on Wednesday 23 September, answering a call from the Union des Syndicats de Monaco to protest against the government's planned pension reform. The march ended outside the Caisses Sociales de Monaco, where demonstrators made clear their frustration with proposals they say will hit workers hardest.
Beyond pensions, the protest gave voice to broader grievances over the cost of living and working conditions in the Principality, issues that have simmered for residents squeezed by Monaco's high prices despite steady wages.
