Outward Bound Monaco builds resilience in teens

For over two decades, Outward Bound Monaco has been sending local teenagers into the British wilderness for a full digital detox and outdoor challenge programme, with places still available this summer.
For more than twenty years, Outward Bound Monaco has been giving teenagers from the Principality and the surrounding Côte d'Azur region something that screens simply cannot offer: a genuine test of themselves. The association's programme pulls young people out of comfortable routines and drops them into the British countryside, where mobile signals and social media are replaced by physical challenge, teamwork, and self-reliance.
The concept is straightforward but demanding. Participants face a complete digital detox alongside immersion in wild natural environments, the kind of experience that Monaco's urban setting cannot easily provide. The results, built up over two decades of running the programme, speak to a lasting appetite among local families for this kind of formative challenge.
For any Monaco or regional families still considering summer plans, the association has confirmed that a number of places remain available for this summer's expedition.
