The fifth Olympian Clean Up Day united young students with Olympic athletes in a community environmental initiative supported by Prince Albert II.
Olympic athletes and local schoolchildren rolled up their sleeves across Monaco's streets this week for an inspiring community environmental initiative. The fifth annual Olympian Clean Up Day, organised by the Monaco Olympic Athletes Association (AMAO), brought together competitors who have represented the Principality on the world stage with the next generation of young Monégasques.
Prince Albert II joined the morning event on Thursday 9th April, demonstrating the royal family's continued commitment to environmental causes. The initiative perfectly embodies the Olympic movement's values whilst addressing pressing ecological concerns in the Principality.
This civic programme has become a cherished annual tradition, combining sport's positive influence with practical environmental action. By uniting Olympic champions with local students, the event creates meaningful connections between athletic achievement and community responsibility, inspiring young participants to consider their role as environmental stewards.
