The ninth Monaco Ocean Protection Challenge concluded on 11 June at the Oceanographic Museum, recognising four projects for innovative contributions to marine conservation.
Four projects took top honours at the ninth Monaco Ocean Protection Challenge, held at the Oceanographic Museum on Thursday 11 June. The international competition targets students and young entrepreneurs developing practical solutions to the environmental pressures bearing down on the world's oceans.
Now in its ninth year, the Challenge has become one of the Principality's most visible platforms for applied ocean science and sustainable marine development. The Oceanographic Museum, perched above the sea on the Rock, provided the backdrop for the award ceremony, underlining Monaco's long-standing institutional commitment to ocean protection that runs from the Prince's own scientific work through to grassroots competitions of this kind.
Full details of the four winning projects and their teams are expected to be released by the organising committee in the coming days.
