Government Creates New Public Transformation Role for Senior Official
Marc Vassallo will become Special Adviser for Public Transformation at the Ministry of State from May 2026.
The Monaco government has announced a significant administrative restructuring, with Marc Vassallo set to take on a newly created position as Special Adviser for Public Transformation at the Ministry of State, effective from Monday, 4th May 2026.
Vassallo brings substantial experience to the role, having worked within the General Secretariat since 2007 before rising to become Secretary General of the Government in February 2022. His academic credentials include a doctorate in economic sciences and a degree in political science.
In his new capacity, Vassallo will oversee cross-departmental initiatives throughout the administration, with particular focus on modernising public services. The appointment reflects the government's commitment to streamlining administrative processes and enhancing efficiency across Monaco's public sector.
This restructuring signals a strategic shift towards more integrated governance, positioning the Principality to better address contemporary administrative challenges whilst maintaining its reputation for effective public service delivery.
