Fresh footbridge extension connects Salines parking to Fontvieille district

A new walkway extension with lifts and stairs now links the Salines car park tunnel directly to Fontvieille, improving pedestrian flow.

Pedestrians can now enjoy easier access between the Salines car park and Fontvieille thanks to a newly completed extension of the Wurtemberg footbridge. The upgraded pathway became available to the public on Thursday, 23rd April.

The enhancement features two modern lifts alongside a staircase, allowing people exiting the Salines tunnel to reach Fontvieille more directly. This infrastructure improvement addresses the practical challenge of moving between these key areas of the Principality on foot.

The project represents part of Monaco's ongoing commitment to enhancing pedestrian connectivity across its compact urban landscape. By providing reliable vertical transport options, the new facility makes the route more accessible to residents and visitors regardless of mobility levels.
