New Monégasque citizens honoured at traditional Town Hall ceremony
Mayor Georges Marsan welcomed the Principality's newest citizens at the annual reception celebrating those granted nationality in 2025.
The Town Hall hosted its annual celebration on Thursday evening, welcoming individuals who gained Monégasque nationality during 2025 through either legal provisions or Sovereign Ordinance.
Mayor Georges Marsan, accompanied by members of the Municipal Council, received the new citizens in the elegant Salle des Mariages. The ceremony provided an opportunity for the community to come together in recognition of those who have formally joined Monaco's small but distinguished citizenry.
The traditional reception reflects Monaco's commitment to acknowledging new members of its national community, marking an important milestone in their integration into the Principality's civic life. Gaining Monégasque nationality represents a significant achievement, given the selective nature of the process and the exclusive status it confers.
