Monaco's latest cohort of Carabiniers du Prince received their insignia and fanion at a formal ceremony marking the close of their induction.
The newest recruits to the Carabiniers du Prince completed their induction on 4 May 2026, taking their oath of loyalty to the Sovereign Prince and his Family before a formal parade ceremony brought their training period to a close.
Lt-Colonel Martial Pied, Chef de Corps, presided over the occasion as the company's fanion was presented to the young soldiers. The promotion's godmother then presented each recruit with their insignia, blessed by Abbé Christian Venard, Aumônier de la Force Publique. The ceremony closed with the Hymne Monégasque, performed by the Orchestre des Carabiniers du Prince alongside the assembled troops.
The promotion takes the name Jules Rigoard, continuing the tradition of honouring the graduating class with a formal title. The Carabiniers du Prince form one of the four corps of Monaco's Force Publique and are a constant presence at official state and palace occasions throughout the Principality.
