Nepal's Monaco consul launches appeal after deadly floods

Alexander Moghadam, Nepal's honorary consul to Monaco, has launched a fundraising appeal to support relief efforts following the devastating floods that struck the north of the country on 26 August. The disaster has claimed at least 1,400 lives, with authorities still searching for around 6,000 people reported missing.
Moghadam is calling on the Monaco community to contribute funds that will go towards temporary housing and food supplies for survivors in the affected regions. The consul has stressed that immediate needs remain acute, with many families displaced and basic infrastructure destroyed in the areas hit hardest by the flooding.
