Nazinho opens up ahead of Monaco's clash with Toulouse

By Zak Jackson, MonacoViews Editorial

AS Monaco left-back Flavio Nazinho discussed his career ambitions before Saturday's Ligue 1 leaders' clash with Toulouse at Louis II.

AS Monaco face Toulouse at the Stade Louis II on Saturday evening (20h45) in round six of Ligue 1, with the Rouge et Blanc sitting top of the table after a strong start to the campaign. Ahead of the fixture, left-back Flavio Nazinho spoke at length about his career so far, his upbringing and the players who shaped his game, citing former Chelsea winger Eden Hazard as a key inspiration.

The 23-year-old Portuguese defender has been one of the more consistent performers in Monaco's opening weeks of the season, establishing himself in Adi Hutter's starting line-up. Speaking about his mindset as the club pushes for a title challenge, Nazinho said: "You shouldn't be afraid to aim high," reflecting the ambition running through a squad currently leading the French top flight.

For supporters heading to Louis II this weekend, Nazinho's form on the left flank will be one to watch as Monaco look to maintain their position at the summit against a Toulouse side looking to disrupt the leaders' momentum.
