Monaco's mental health plan reaches new phase

The Princely Government's mental health programme, launched in 2022, is pressing ahead with 53 structured actions covering prevention, early detection and wellbeing.
The Direction de l'Action Sanitaire (DASA) is continuing to roll out the Principality's mental health plan, a programme that has been running since 2022 under the Département des Affaires Sociales et de la Santé. The initiative brings together healthcare professionals, institutions and associations across Monaco in a coordinated, multidisciplinary effort.
The plan is built around 53 distinct actions grouped into three core areas: promoting positive mental health, preventing psychological disorders and addictions, and improving early identification of those at risk. The breadth of the programme reflects a deliberate shift toward treating mental health as a public health priority rather than a niche concern.
For residents, the plan represents a sustained commitment from the government to build a more joined-up network of support, drawing on both statutory services and the wider network of voluntary and professional organisations that operate throughout the Principality.
